My Design Project Website
I am from Greece and I am Erato, what i have on my mind is an open road. I prefer it. I prefer anything beyond conventionality.

Ancient artifacts

The first word that comes on my mind when I am thinking of artifacts is clay, metal and wood. Maybe because such kind of objects is something that I see since childhood exhibited in the museums (coming from a country with many museums) it is natural. I used to see them and I still see them and I am always thinking the same thing, that now all these artifacts are exhibited in a museum but long time ago, thousands years ago, people created them not as pieces of art but because they used them in their everyday life, they used to store food, to eat, to hunt and to help them with their lives, they created all this out of a necessity, the objects were of common use, they couldn’t imagine I guess that all these objects would have been exhibited in a museum someday.
Modern artifacts

And now I am just looking at this beautiful modern pottery and I wonder, what will happen to them in hundred thousand years? Will be exhibited in future museums? Will be anyone like me who may wonder what has been the use of that object? To serve oil maybe? For me, the creation of artifacts goes beyond the usefulness or the reason why they have been created and I define artifact as an object that is meant to declare either is used or no longer used the fact that it has been created and meant to stay if not for an eternity but at least for few hundred thousand of years.
